On Monday 16 July Year 7 pupils visited Leicester City Football Club to take part in a Reluctant Readers Programme, led by Teach First. 

Pupils have been reading Stormbreaker and taking part in activities based on the book within their English lessons.The event was to enhance the pupils learning by further engaging them in literacy based activities such as Escape Room and being interviewed for a job working for MI5.

The pupils from Year 7 had a great day and really engaged with every activity. As a team Nottingham Academy took 2nd place in the Stormbreaker quiz and Ashton was awarded a certificate for his fantastic interview skills!
