We are pleased to announce that despite the challenges of the pandemic, the whole Academy community is incredibly proud of all our pupils, many of whom are looking forward to progressing on to further training, education or employment.

All our students have done very well, but there are some performances we would like to highlight:

• Mohammed Zeriba whose achievements included a double grade 9 in Science, Grade 9 in RE, Grade 8s in Arabic, English, History and Mathematics alongside a Level 2 Distinction in Enterprise.
• Fatima Awan who achieved a Level 2 Distinction Star in Dance, a Level 2 Distinction in Enterprise, a Grade 9 in Urdu and grade 7s in Spanish, Science, Maths and English
• Mustafa Sis, achieving a Grade 9 in Turkish, Grade 8 in Maths and Science and a Grade 7 in History and English
• Freida Iredia’s achievements included a Grade 9 in Spanish, Geography, Italian and Science, a Grade 8 in RE and Mathematics and a Grade 7 in English

The Wells Academy principal Marcus Shepherd said:

“Today is a very proud day for us at The Wells Academy. Our first cohort of students to sit exams have been rewarded for the tireless efforts and hard work with some truly fantastic results. We have made significant improvements in our results from the predecessor school and are today celebrating some of the best results in the school’s history.

Our students refused to let the pandemic disruption limit their achievements and committed to extra lessons, revision and tuition to ensure that they today achieve results that open the doors to a brighter future for both themselves and their families. We could not be prouder of them!”
